Just love my hand-made Service Boot in Horsebutt, and watching the character develop every day.

This Thunderdome journey has been more than just breaking in a really cool pair of boots—it’s been about storytelling, craftsmanship, and community. From designing this collaboration with my friend Al at Al's Attire, to living in them day after day, every scuff feels earned. Seeing the design take shape not just on my feet but out in the world on other people's feet has been incredibly rewarding. I’m proud of what we’ve created, and even more excited about what’s ahead. Grateful for the Stichdown community, the process, and the patina earned along the way.

Why I own this

When designing my Service Boot, my goal was to create a boot that embodied durability + toughness = something that could handle everyday wear as well as my adventures.

How I sized

Bespoke Last: 10WUS Men's Brannock: 10

I collaborated with my good friend Al from Al's Attire in San Francisco. Al, a master craftsman, hand-made these boots with precision and care, ensuring every detail met my vision for durability, toughness, and timeless style. Al has a mold of my foot, but we still went through multiple sizing sessions -- one in the morning and another later in the afternoon. This was crucial to account for natural changes in foot size throughout the day and ensure the truest, most comfortable fit possible.
