Shinki Black Latigo Teacore Horsehide
Purchased directly from Benzein, now they have changed their name to Brisel Black. Size is US 11.5E with Parang (Knife in Indoensian) last. I used to live in Indonesia when I was younger due to my parents job and it was a shame because I never knew these great boot makers from Indoensia. The boots are great and it was a very fun challenge for me. For next year I would like to do it again with a different pair. The boots fit really good and the heel slippage disappeared after a month or two into Dome. One thing that bothered me the most was the the double leather outsoles that was not broken in until the 4th month and it was painful to walk on. These double leather soles are brutal and if I am going to purchase another I will buy single leather soles for sure. Brisel Black's (Benzein) has been great and motivated me to buy more engineer boots. I think Engineer boots have it's own beauty and tradition. Also it's very fun to wear them. I love how the leather rolls up around the neck of the boots. The leather on these boots are Shinki Hikaku's Teacore leather. It's supposed to show brown original leather as I wear them more. These are my second Shinki's boots. but something I realised is that they are so durable. It won't scratch at all. I have mentioned this in my video, but even when I fell with these on and kinda scratched on the pavements, it didn't scratch. My other Shinki boots are very durable too. The leather is great of course and very comfortable to wear. I am thinking of changing the outsoles on these with single leather midsoles and different outsoles. But maybe that's a project for this autumn. Thanks for reading this and this was Tom from Kudusole. I can't wait for next Thunderdome! :)
