Brown French Calfskin
Not sure what I have to write here but hoping this gets close. I'm a therapist and photographer, and I wore these boots to the clinic and to all my gigs- they've "survived" lots of desk corners and chair legs, rain and snow, and hours of me crouching down while yelling at people to stand shoulder to shoulder so they don't block their friends' faces. I've worn them with an assortment of outfits, most often pairing it with a brown leather jacket I also got from S&S. Shirts and chinos, sweaters and jeans, even some casual suits. While dark brown is pretty run of the mill and subsequently versatile for footwear, I did feel challenged when picking clothes because I have certain outfits that pair better with black or tan footwear. I was particular about this because I didn't want to just wear whatever I usually wore and add these boots just for the Dome; I wanted to actually integrate them, so I wore lots of earth tones this winter! For trousers I leaned towards heavier weight fabrics like tweed and flannel. I personally like a cropped/cuffed pant, and the height of these boots really played well with that, with some of my favorite pants hitting just at the buckle. I didn't do anything crazy in these- no hikes or beach trips (I have other footwear more suited for those), just my everyday life per usual. Thanks for reading!
