Dayton Boots 6460 CSA Engineer

I chose to wear my Dayton engineer boots to see what kind of wear occurs in black oil tanned leather. This was my attempt at being different, as many people who extol the virtues of leather patina do so on the basis of the leather being either natual or brown. These leathers show signs of age more dramatically than what I chose. I put in the time, wearing my Daytons nearly every day inside and out, to show what they are capable of. Much of the time was spent in a restaurant kitchen with loads of Acid, Grease and Salt to content with. I feel super happy about how they have held up as a work boot and will continue to wear them for many years to come! I would like to say congratulations to all those who entered the Patina Thunderdome in both the Open and Work categories, you all rock!
