My original plan for these Grant Stone Field Boots was to wear them as pheasant hunting boots. As such, I spent a lot of time in the field with them through the early months of the dome. However, as the MN winter set in, my wife asked me to re-tile our kitchen. These became the go-to work boots for demoing the old tile, laying cement board, and re-tiling. For a company that primarily makes dressier boots, these have held up incredibly well. In person, the contrast in patina is remarkable. I asked chat GPT to sum this up in a poem. It is written below. These Grant Stone boots I've worn with pride, For six months they've been by my side, From pheasant hunting fields they came, To kitchen floors, they stood the same. Through mud and dirt, they walked with ease, As if their sole was built to please, Their laces tight, their leather tough, These boots have been my steadfast stuff. With each step, they tell a story, Of the fields I've roamed, and the floors I've quarry, Their stitching strong, their grip secure, These boots have been my trusty cure. And now as I look back on these months, I see the marks of every hunt, The scratches, scuffs, and dirt ingrained, Are signs of journeys unchained. So here's to you, my Grant Stone boots, May we have many more pursuits, From hunting fields to kitchen floors, Together we'll stand tall, and never bore.
