Incas Natural Kangaroo
Not too long ago, my closet was filled with sneakers and soccer cleats. the soccer cleats remain but the sneakers have been replaced with goodyear welted footwear. This all started thanks to Rose Anvil and his cutring in half of boots on Youtube. I started making uneducated purchases and slowly started to educate myself more and got further acquainted with the community thanks to the Stitchdown podcast. When the time came to choose my competition boot, I initially wanted to wear a pair of roughout Edward boots. However, Grant Stone had a pair of kangaroo leather boots that caught my eye. Since I only wear kangaroo leather cleats when I play soccer, I decided that it was fitting. The boots required little to no break-in but I expected that wince most of my favorite cleats are kangaroo leather. What I was excited about was to see these light kangaroo leather boots patina. I had no idea what they would look like since soccer wear is not the best measure. The initial look was a hard sell because they were so pale. However, I pushed through and let them develop their own character. My favorite part of this experience was the community. The boots were great and I enjoyed wearing them and sharing it with my students at school. They enjoyed this experience and definitely learned that the experience and journey is it’s own reward. I love my boots and looking at them and being able to see every little change that I influences is priceless. I am thankful. Thank you all for being awesome.
