Krumenauer Olive
This pair was not purchased specifically for this event, but since I bought it just a few weeks prior to the dome starting, I thought I might as well participate for fun. Below is the context of wear and the data of wear I work in a warehouse, but not directly on the floor. I mostly walk on bare polished concrete, but also some carpeting. That said, my primary job is just sitting in front of a computer like a normal office job. I live in the Pacific Northwest, so the boots have seen plenty of rain, although just in short bursts. Some snow here and there, but nothing too prolonged. I did not wear these much outside of work, as I do not wear any footwear at home and I usually wear my sneakers on the weekend unless I went to work for overtime. A lot of the scratches and dings are actually from kicking boxes, tripping on pallets, and packing equipment falling on the pair. My method of collecting milage data is based on my fitbit tracker. That said, I do know that these trackers usually over report, so I only count half or two thirds of the total count afterwork, depending on the work I did that day. For hours worn, aside from the three days which I wore the pair on a day off and did not include in the count, I based the numbers off of my time clocked in at work. I also included any time used for commute and other known activities. The total of the pair is as followed 123 days 479 miles 1007 hours 2 conditioning (once mid way through, and another after the last day of wear) I am not artistic in the least, so I take very poor photos. I did think that I could at least attempt to make my records consistent. So I ended up just taking pictures in the same (poor) lighting in the same spot every time. If I end up participating again, perhaps I’ll find a better camera (or phone with a better camera).
