Horween Navy Chamois Roughout
It's been a wild ride with these Jakkrabbits Moc Toes over the past 6-7 months. My two biggest takeaways from the Thunderdome this year are that a US9D is a hair too small for my feet. Although it never led to any blisters, I could only avoid my toes feeling cramped by wearing the thinnest of socks. I'm still surprised Jakkrabbits doesn't offer a US9.5 in their MTO program. Aside from my big toe being a little cramped, these boots have been tremendously comfortable and capable... Which brings me to my second takeaway: trudging through snow and ice doesn't really contribute much wear and tear on a pair of boots. Despite dozens of long, snowy walks, these boots always kept my feet warm and dry. I tried my best to take these boots down a peg but they easily handled everything I put them through and came out looking better for it. I know chamois roughout could take abuse but I didn't expect it to be *that* tough! Hopefully, Jakkrabbits decides to offer a 9.5D before I get the itch to order another pair from them. I also want to take a moment to thank the organizers and judges of the Stitchdown Thunderdome! This was fun and I look forward to competing next year!
