Seidel Brown Oil Tan Roughout
Thank God it’s over. Deciding to do a continuous boot wear throughout the winter months in Chicago was not a very wise choice. If I had to do it again, I would submit a lined boot with chrome excel leather. Rough out boots really don’t seem to “patina” like a smooth boot does and I didn’t really put a lot of forethought into my submission. I would be excited to do this in a warmer set of months as I feel I really has to push myself to wear these boots when it was wet and cold. As far as aging goes, they are every bit as durable as they were day one. A bit darker due to a couple oilings but still no worse for wear. If there’s one thing I would say really blew me away it was the laces. It was my first time using Pisgha Range laces and they are absolutely amazing. The weighted ends are genius. All my boots will get this lace treatment from now on. I know my boots probably don’t look as worn out as some of the others, but that’s a testament to the craftsmanship of these JK’s. Six months of winter use on the Railroad will really make a new pair of boots ugly in a hurry. Not these work horses. I’m every bit as proud of them today as I was six months ago. Thought I’d through the last working pic in there to give you all a laugh. I hope it did.
