Rust Waxy Calf
Im really happy with my choice of the boot for this. I used this boots 3 to 4 days of the week every week of tunderdoom. They were my main boots for work, I work as Barista, coffee master and facility manager in flagship store of one big coffee shop chain in Germany. They accompanied me in mounteneering to Sljeme (Croatia) and in many walks through forests of Dachau (Germany). I also traveled to Bolonja (Italy) for childrens book fare that was quite memorable experience. Leather tanned by CF Stead on my boots is really interesting. It has waxed finish same as waxy commander does but it is done on calf rather than suade. Wile it is kind of thin next to waxy commander and not stretchable it showed it self durable and easy to dress up and down. It reacts to the light a lot so it knows to show range from redish to gray look making it hard to photograph. I really enjoy clicking on my pare, it looks great for calf in my mind. After first month I did light spray of Redwing Leather protector to protect the upper from milk stains that would lift the wax from the finish I cared for it with Collonl 1909 leather conditioner after 3 months and after 5 months I used Sapphier renovatur. For welt and all of the more serious cuts i used Collonil 1909 wax polish. It would glue cuts of in leather back together so they don't cach on and tear more than they all ready did. Welts needed conditioning monthly because of cuts on them as well for the reason strong chemicals for floor cleaning would take wax away from the welt. I need to mention i really love to brush my footware and this pare was no exeption. I brushed them before and after each ware. Im super supriced by the soles of the boot. wile they are not oil resistant they are extremely durable and in the same time soft and comftrable. they provided good grip on wet and ice and my favorite was that they didnt slip on wet tils on which im working most of the time. My favorite part of the boot are welts that became a sculpture!
