Seidel 1964 Brown
These boots have been a long time in the making! my grandfather (Pap) was always a good ole boy who loves his good ole boy cowboy boots. I remember as a kid playing with his old snake skinned boots, they were the epitome of coolness as a child. Pap always said good ole American made boots were the best boot a man could ask for and that if you take care of your boots they will take care of you for years to come. Pap had those snake skinned boots for atleast 30 years before they finally fell apart. I could not wait until I was financially secure enough to invest in a boot of that magnitude. After many hours of searching the web I finally stumbled onto Nicks handmade boots. They checked all the boxes for me, overbuilt enough to survive a nucular appocolipse, made in America, using material sourced in America with enough arch support to alleviate my heel pain. I feel like these boots would’ve been something Pap would’ve been proud of, sadly Pap passed away a few months before i recieved my boots. The boots themselves have been a dream, absolutely the best boot I’ve ever had the pleasure to break in. The arch support took the most time to mold to my arches but now that they have they are the most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn by far. The leather is thick enough to handle anything. The break in on this 1964 easy break in leather was pretty “easy”. The leather was supple right outta the box and has only gotten better with wear, plus it takes a decent shine if you buff it enough. the stichdown patina thunderdome has been a blast and i feel like I’ve learned alot more about photography in this compitition as Ive never really focused much on that and its pretty cool to see the progression in the boot as well as my photography skill thru out the months. thanks for putting on such a cool event.
