Red Wing Iron Ranger

I really like the overall look and leather color of these. I was looking for a boot that would harken back to my days in the military wearing boots. Preferably a better fitting and more comfortable experience though. I went with Amber Harness to avoid looking too much like a military boot like the black leathers might. Copper Rough and tough I didn’t like as much. I have been aiming for a combination heritage and tactical style which these work well with. I wore them to work , while not strictly a safety toe boot they are more than tough enough for most of my job tasks. Kept a pair of actual safety toe boots on hand if needed. Wore them to a few Church events, and a funeral where the style fit, kinda, I will be limiting them to more casual events in the future. Also they did well walking in the woods in a snow storm , and the few rain storms I was caught in.

I went to a local Red Wing Shoe Store where I have purchased safety boots from to buy these. I tried them on a few times over a couple months to be completely sure I got the correct size, making sure to wear the same socks I would be using with them. General guidance I found online at multiple sites was to size 1/2 down from Brannock. Trying on in multiple sizes in store confirmed that this size fit best. The store personnel recommended that they fit snug but not uncomfortable. My Brannock size is 10 E maybe a hair wider and 9.5ee seems perfect.
