Red Wing Weekender Chelsea

Loving this Copper Rough and Tough. It’s a combination vegetable and chrome tannage, and is finished without any colors or dyes, so the natural movement of the leather moves the waxes and oils around to create contrasting light and dark tones and high-wear areas burnish to a deep shine. These were never soaped, just wiped down with water and brushed. Never oiled or conditioned, just a finger wide rub of Sno-Seal around the welt after the first snow of the year. I had them resoled with Vibram Christy soles, veg tan midsole, and added a steel shank almost immediately since the factory Weekender setup was definitely not intended for serious work. This leather has a lot of evolution left in it, looking forward to beating this pair up a while longer!
