White's Bounty Hunter

The White's Bounty Hunter Boot is a custom-made, 270 degree hand-welted Pacific Northwest boot that boasts a rugged build. Made from Italian-based tannery Maryam's Natural Horse Rump leather, these boots are soft, supple, and luxurious feeling. The leather is a unique and premium choice for a Pacific Northwest boot, and it's clear that the material was chosen with care. The uppers of the boots are thick, high quality, and it's clear that the boots were made to last. Unfortunately, it seems that the attention to detail in the construction of the boots was lacking. After just a few wears, the pool loops tore and the stitching was not uniform. Additionally, there were some quality control issues with the welt, and a nail was poking through the footbed. While these issues are disappointing, the boots are still functional and comfortable. The upper being so supple broke in nearly immediately, but the footbed and midsole have taken a little over a month to break in, but they are now one of the most comfortable boots that I own. Akin to a heavy leather sock. The Cuban heel is a nice touch that adds a bit of flair to the boots (I am a sucker for a Cuban/ Logger heel), and the Vibram mini lug soles provide excellent traction in a variety of environments. I have used the boots for leisure, light yard work, working my car/bike, hikes, and motorcycle rides with success. It is important to note that I wore these boots in rotation with another pair in order to avoid wearing these boots daily. I did this to let the boots air our and preserve their longevity since they are a pretty penny. Despite the issues with the construction, I cannot get over the natural horse hide. It is so supple, you can see the natural fibers, the life of the animal in it and oh boy does it ages gracefully! Overall the boots are and have been a joy to own and have become one of my favorites.
