I was looking to try a taller boot and most importantly I wanted to try a high arch boot. It has been a great improvement in posture and foot/back pain when wearing them.
The high arch was what interested me most. I recently learned concretely that I had high arches so it won’t come as a surprise that these boots improved foot and back pain for me significantly when I wore them consistently.
I was sized by Nick’s employees at the Stitchdown event in NYC last year and speaking with the employees they were able to put a rush on my order and get these boots ready to wear for the late start. I even had people tell me there was no chance but they got it done and I couldn’t have been happier.
I wore these boots nearly daily, throughout the winter, on ski trips to Canada, to my office through rain and shine, and on short-medium hikes. They been to breweries, bars and events. They were a pivotal companion these last couple of months!
They broke in quick and became quite comfortable in the last few months, there hasn’t been an awful lot of color change but some reasonable structural changes. They could probably be near-daily used like I have been for years to come and probably hold up fine!
Overall the fit has been good, I might be able to pull off a smaller size, but overall I am definitely comfortable and enjoy wearing them daily! The increased arch support is great and sorely missed when I have to wear something else to give these a bit of rest!
Fantastic. Very consistent and structurally sound construction from the hardware to the stitching and everything in between
Looks and feels great to walk in. Reasonable traction even in awful conditions. I am notoriously hard on my soles, specifically in certain spots and they have held up well. Would recommend this sole configuration to others
Overall these are great boots at a great price for a thoughtfully made product. I can confidently recommend these to others and often will gush about them when asked what they are and or given compliments on them. I probably don’t work them as hard as most of the folks in this community/competition but I am confident they could stand up to the work if I needed them to.
