My husband and I chose these boots for my dad. He's incredibly hard working and always puts others before himself. He would be unlikely to purchase boots this nice (and pricey) for himself, but he absolutely would buy them for me. He's also injured his feet many times over the years. Almost every one of those injuries have occurred while helping others with various types of projects. His work boots were getting really worn out, so we decide to upgrade them to these. My husband happened to find them on a seconds sale. These were his early Christmas present last year. It took some convincing to get him to actually wear them for all of his work projects. He liked them so much he didn't want to risk damaging them. Thankfully, he started wearing them and they actually saved his foot from damage on a project at work, after helping his foot heal from a previous project. He found them to be incredibly comfortable, so he started wearing them for both casual, and work wear. Lots of walks and hikes, too!
We just purchased his regular boot size.
I have worn these boots as both work boots and casual boots. They have been great in all conditions. From sand dunes to snow to soggy terrain to hiking trails to crossing streams, these boots have been reliable. I've worn them anywhere from a couple times a week to everyday, for an hour or two to 12 hr days. I wore them while traveling for 28 hr stretches twice. They were comfortable and supportive, and not restrictive while traveling. I'm not one to take my shoes off on the road or in the air. I wore them in 90° plus weather, helping my daughter and son inlaw rebuild their porch and a few other home projects. They were fantastic as work boots. Best boots I've owned.
This leather has held up really well. It's very robust and supple. I love how the nap came through on the stress points and you can see the character of the leather coming through. These boots were comfortable from the start, so I didn't need to do much to break them in. I wore them around the house and on short errends for an hour or two at a time for a week or so. After that, I just wore them as I would any other boot. I've been careful to get and mud or debris off of them. For a care routine, I really just used a damp cloth or a dry brush to clean them off. They've not needed much.
These boots are extremely comfortable. I can easily wear them all day with zero discomfort. I just wear regular boot socks with them.
These are the best boots I've had. They are made extremely well. They look as good as they feel.
These boots are extremely durable and comfortable. The traction is great. I wore them in all types of conditions and didn't slip at all. The only thing is they squeak a bit on concrete.
I have enjoyed the last several months wearing the Whites Boot MP55-D, MP-Sherman. They have proven to be very comfortable, versatile, low maintenance, and incredibly durable. I have been using them as work boots, as well as everyday casual wear. Several months prior to using them I had injured my foot, and it has been very slow in healing. These boots have been very helpful as they have a very rigid sole, yet are also quite comfortable, allowing the injured joints to be protected. In addition to working on construction, they have been used for daily walking and recreational hiking. They have performed well on trails, sand dunes, beaches, snow, crossing streams, bogs and muddy fields at numerous locations in 12 different states. *daughters note- when he says the boots have been helpful in protecting his foot- he means he could hardly walk unless he was wearing them for a few weeks. He re injured his foot while helping his church with some repairs.
