Dancing, traveling, hiking, gardening, everyday use, matching boots with my husband from same hide😁

My boots have been out country dancing on many dance floors!!! We have traveled to many states and walked the country lands in Alabama, the city streets in Philly, the beautiful campus at Yale in Connecticut, New York parks, New Jersey for some good food, on a horse ranch in South Carolina, across Georgia, backwoods of Oklahoma, snow mountains in Utah, and of course all over my home state Texas. My boots favorite adventure was traveling across the world to Bali where they experienced the warm humidity and occasional tropical rain! From the big adventure to the small adventure like gardening and going to the grocery store we have experienced a lot together but what makes my boots so special to me is they are made from the same hide of my husbands boots and we got matching pairs. Thank you for this unique opportunity and the memories my husband’s and I made through these boots and this contest.

The boots were stiff at the beginning but i consistently wore them. Dancing was the best way to losing them up because of the range of motion I use with my feet. At the beginning I wouldn’t lace them all the way because the metal part was making bruises on my ankle so I left the top 3 lace parts off. As the leather loosened and I had more range of motion in my foot and ankle I was able to lace them all the way.

The boots are pretty comfortable. I have a short but wide foot (probably from gymnastics and dancing) that most boots hurt the side of my foot for being too narrow. These boots feet my foot the best! There was no pain or tightness. I may have gotten the overall boot a half size too big but I was so afraid to order them too small. I definitely had to wear a thicker sock. This was the first time I had custom boots. The support of the boot was very good. For my dancing the boots were a bit heavy I could still dance but I definitely felt the difference in weight. I also have a high instep which having a boot that laced up made it easier to get them on verse a cowboy boot.

I liked the design and style of the boots. I like the 6inch height of the boot I felt like it gave it a little bit of a feminine look picking a shorter lace up boot. The construction was made very well and durable. I wore the boots a lot and they still look good. The color has darken from day one but the quality of the boot is holding up great. It looks like even the details in the stitching was done with care and precision.

The leather is great! It has held up and still looks amazing. The color has darken over time and has got some shape to the boot around the ankle and top of toes. The boot is comfortable and I like the design.

Nicks did an amazing job with making my boots. I love the fact that my boots and my husband boots are matching and from the same hide. Thank you Nicks for making something so special for my husband and me. This has made the journey and experience so much more meaningful for us. I have enjoyed the past 6 months participating in the contest with my husband. I would definitely recommend Nicks boots and have already many times. We have been stopped and asked by strangers about our matching boots and I love telling them how Nicks made them from the same hide. It also has opened up the conversation and allowed us to share information about Nicks boots to people that didn’t know.
