I saw in my local Red Wing store pair of the RW sky trooper boots that completely got me. I hoped to find in the same time brown pigment leather and i was looking for Thursday boot construction alternative to see in my own experience how the lasting board and poron are against leather insoles of my other boots
Well true to size is almost exactly the same as red wing half down except different toeshape
I used them regularly at least 3 times a week for work as barista and free time as well. They took days where delivery comes as a champ. Biggest surprise was how water resistant they were when the snow was until the knee and that they actually had grip in that weather
I find it beautiful and well clicked in my example. It is on the thinner side but it feels nice and it is breathable and water resistant. Shine i can get with sapphire high gloss wax is to die for. I enjoy it more than any other leather at the moment (feels really weird to say that) and it smells really nice
Munson is really really comfortable. It seems like alignment is right on it though i would love to try 12b version if it would exist as my heel to ball is actually 12b, i did feel my 3rd toe touching the cap as with all of my footwear unfortunately. Im in that space where i cant go down in any footwear because it gets short and cant go up because it is too wide or quarters go over each other as well as too wide heel. Otherwise it felt great.
Half sole grips great on oily surfaces as well as dry, somewhat softer than 430 vibram mini lug but same grip. Design and angle of the heel as walking heel is great but material feels like it has clay in it. It wares down kinda fast and there is no grip at all on the oily surface. Feels like a porsch with happy tail
