Drew's Boots
I've worn these boots regularly on my construction projects in central oklahoma. They've been in mud, concrete, grass, dirt, snow, ice, asphalt, and concrete.
The break in wasn't bad at all. Drew's modified 55 last has plenty of room in the toe box, and the last contoured midsole felt good from the beginning. The leather has held up to the elements and work extremely well under a maintenence plan fitting of a product of gen-x, mostly hose water and neglect, although I did give them a light brushing before the final photos of the thunderdome.
Baker's was right on with their sizing suggestions. Their modified 55 is at least a half size length and width larger than their contemporaries. This boot is roomy, and i have plenty of room for my toes and instep. I added an insole to take up a little volume.
I think these are very well made with great materials for the price.
This sole is better than I expected. It is soft and grippy (even in snow and ice) but has held up perfectly so far, although the majority of the wear has been in dirt in construction sites.
I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy again
