Slightly less than a month in, I have worn them almost exclusively hiking. It has snowed about 10 inches, but otherwise it's been an extremely warm October.
I have done nothing to the leather except try to keep it clean--which has felt like a losing battle since it has been super muddy. The first couple of days the boots were very stiff, afterwards they have been very flexible
I don't know if I'm satisfied with the fit. I think an 11 would be better. maybe a 10.5f. they feel great until the ball--which is a touch narrow and the toes are a little cramped.
There is some waterproof lining on these boots, but not a gussetted tongue. It's mind-blowing. Otherwise the design and construction of these boots is fantastic.
The sole unit is probably not the 108. It's no where near as good as the 100, but it's still a good sole. Very comfortable, but a little more slick than the v100. Surprisingly durable thus far
Finding a comfortable, durable, well made hiking boot is difficult. Most people go with a gtx lined trail runner or similar. From an environmental perspective, f that. These are intriguing because they're made well in a vintage inspired design. I'm happy with them, but will look for a way to adjust the fit better.
