Jamvaida
Japanese Moc Toe
Baker's Boots and Clothing
I like green boots. It was a great price for a Japanese boot, super limited, and I just jumped on it.
Baker's was great. Sizing advice was TTS, which was not necessarily accurate for me. Luckily, they had 1 size down left, and they sent them my way. Good fit on the 2nd pair, very happy with them!
I wore these in the "work from home dome," which means I wore them with sweatpants and shorts a lot of days. Lots of walks and hikes, and used for climbing the stairs in our condo building. I really did wear them nearly every day for the first 3 or so months. Then, rotated one or 2 days a week in the dead of winter.
Leather has held up well, not a ton of patina, but nice character has set in for sure. I get compliments on these at least weekly and have had multiple people stop me and ask what they are, where can I get, etc. Shades of brown have come through the green in spots, looking really nice. The only thing I've done to them is brush them and clean the outsole. Comfortable straight out of the box, and VERY comfortable within 2 weeks of daily wear. I wore these all day every day for months and can really tell at this point just how well they've taken to my feet.
I think these are very well made, great basic moc toe design, and built well for sure! Should last for years to come.
Sole is incredibly comfortable. Holding up great, and I love how it looks, too. Feels like a cheat code in the boot game. Considering that I actively chose to wear them for exercise, they must be comfortable.
I love these boots. If Jamvaida does another run, I will be all over it. I would recommend them to anyone, and I am super appreciative that Stitchdown had these in their weekly roundup, or I would have never found out about them.
