Looked great on maker website. Also, the makeup was on sale.
The maker recommended true to Brannock. My lower volume feet needed half size down. I put a Nicks leather insole in the boots after a few months.
Easy website purchase.
Mostly office wear and sidewalks.
Leather has darkened as expected. It has held up extremely well and seems impervious to scuffs and stains. No break in required, comfortable from the start. Brushed them with a pig’s hair brush after each wear. Cleaned once with a Saphir suede cleaner. Conditioned with a Saphir spray for suede.
Good fit and quite comfortable. I put in a Nicks leather insole as my lower volume feet needed a more snug fit.
Design and construction are very good. The guy who did the edge dressing was asleep when he did it. Sloppier work than I expected from Oak Street. I really like the outsole on these boots.
I like this sole very much for my use case. Perfect for indoors and tough enough for what I did outdoors — camping and easy walking and hiking. Durable sole.
These boots held up beautifully and exhibit what I believe is six months of daily wear. I know some dome participants try to destroy expensive boots, which seems stupid to me. I learned that my investment in these Oak Street boots was well worth it, and I can continue to enjoy these boots for years to come. I recommend them.
