These have been used for many motocross activities (loading/unloading/washing the dirt bike), one camping trip, a Wiley From ATL concert, many flights, industry trade shows, business meetings, one weekend in Aspen, one sledding day, and a lot of tinkering in the garage. The dark patina on the inside heel area is from my sur ron swing arm.
Break in was easy, 1-2 days. I lightly conditioned one time with bick 4. This leather is like honey badger skin. Scuffs fade to a burnish. I didn’t really scratch it too deep though.
Very well made but this boot does not have a thick veg tan insole and does not mold to the shape of the bottom of your foot. As such, it’s light and great for driving. Less durable and robust than a PNW like Nick’s but more refined, comfortable, nimble, and almost nonexistent break in. Over the coarse of the dome I received a total of two IRL compliments on these boots, both from homeless dudes, so take that as you will.
This leather is amazing and the design is beautiful. Would recommend.
