I have a pair of vintage black bison Dan post boots that have been my longest running pair of cowboy boots. But I don't love the fit. They're getting close to a resole. So, I figured I'd try something else
Big time guess. There are very few discussions on how fenoglio's fit online. I saw two forum discussions that said they run small so yolo
I found a pair I liked, but they were more expensive than I wanted to pay so I google image searched that pair and it led me to this pair. I purchased this pair from STT, which is a big Western store outside of Houston and the transaction was smooth
Thus far I have only worn these boots to the office. I would wear them for any activity.
The roughout on this boot has already started to patina well. I have done nothing to the leather yet. The tops still look brand new
The fit is definitely small. I definitely recommend going up a half size. But, they're incredibly comfortable with break-in. They have reasonable arch support.
These typically retail around $400-450. The finishing is what you'd expect. The welt joint is sloppy. Some minor issues. But, nothing serious to complain about. Great value on sale. Great value at full price too tbh
This sole is meant to be slick for horse back riding. And therefore not a great sole for daily use. Walking on dry concrete, tile, and carpet tho, no issues. Maybe it'll suck in rain and snow. But as of now, no complaints
I have no desire to buy another cowboy boot brand unless it's some weird leather. These are great if you can get over the spur shelf
