I have worn these casually, mostly to the office but also out and about. They have been one of my go to pairs for everything except outdoor activities.
This is cf stead reverse natural kudu (which they call canvas). It has very little nap compared to other reverse kudu's I've handled--i actually thought it was the smooth side at first. But there has been zero break in and it has been great. The patina has evolved well, given its wear. Now, this leather is a sponge for stains, but suede shampoo has done a great job taking those away.
The fit is fantastic. The last is great. Most people say to size down on Quan, but I'm happy I went with this size. I think a 45.5 would have been okay ish, but a 45 (which is what I would normally buy) would be too small.
The construction of this boot is just okay, to be honest. it's worse than trickers or Alden. I think at RRP you can do better. I suspect the materials aren't great either. The design and comfort is great tho.
I don't like it. It's not really soft and doesn't seem that durable. I'd prefer most vibram soles.
Fantastic looking boots. But I'll probably look to kings or master Zhou if I buy shino boots again
