Sagara
I saw it on Sagara’s IG post and thought it looked badass. Blacked out, but would change as the over dye wears out to show the olive rough out. I also like the lace to toe look.
I had the same last in last year’s Dome with a Sagara Valiant. Sagara confirmed it fit the same.
I DM’d Sagara then communicated by email to order.
I’ve pretty much worn them daily for office work, light physical work and all other activities including concerts/festivals
The evolution has been more than I’d expected, especially in the last two months. The break in was pretty easy with ankle rolls forming pretty quickly and the boots forming to my feet. As the months passed the over due began to wear off and the olive color and nap of the rough out showing in high wear areas. A negative crocking also occurred where my jeans contacted the boots, especially at the rolls. Care was wiping the soles with a damp cloth when they got dirty. Also a light brushing in the nap areas where the OD wore off. Love the olive/brown and black contrasts.
Sizing is spot on with my normal bannock sizing. Wider toe box and lace to toe helps my right foot bunion. Overall very comfortable even wearing them for 12 plus hours.
I’ve put over 1000 hours in wearing them and no issues with the construction. Everything has held up including the lining and hardware. I love the lace to toe design and the additional leather on the toe sides. Everything came together perfectly for me.
The sole has been very durable. I have slight wear on the back of the heels and the “supergrip” logo has work off. I have worn them in the rain with not issues slipping. I like my Dr. Sole half sole corks on my Valiants a bit better for comfort, but these come in close. Probably go to those in olive for when it needs a re-sole.
I’m glad I chose these for the Dome. Look, fit, wear is all there at a great price point for this craftsmanship.
