As a graphic designer, I always want to try exciting new things. So I come up with this makeup, reverse from the usual combination on work boots.
I own some White's Boots, so I can guess what size I need on these boots. I prefer to wear flat box boots a bit longer, so I choose size 9E on these.
These boots were the prize of last year Patina Thunderdome, so the Marketing Director of White’s contacted me via email. The process was excellent and professional.
I have worn them every day, day till night, from the start of the Dome. Laptop work(I’m a graphic designer), harvesting coffee, cutting grass, hiking… through the rainy season of the tropical.
The CXL leather made the break-in process easy and did not hurt my feet anymore. The leather at the vamp was a bit tight initially but comfortable afterward. I didn't take care of them in the first three months but conditioned them per month after. The tea-core only noticeably appears after four months.
I like this last very much. It keeps the boots looking sleek and still very comfortable, like a pair of socks. I intensively keep them 0.5 size longer for the toe collapse. I don't want the arch support too high, so the support on these is perfect for me.
The design is excellent (because I design it, haha). The construction, stitching, and finishing... are good; I am satisfied with those.
The Vibram 430 is perfect for my activities. Enough traction through the wet terrain, but keep the boots looking clean.
This is the first time I have customized a pair of boots, and now I know why people obsess with that, especially custom boots from PNW bookmakers.
