Red Wing Shoes
I expected the flat toebox on the shoes to create a great crease and thought it would look great. Also the black colour of the boots will be suitable both for work and casual occasions.
I took the same sizing as my Iron rangers as they have the same last. There were no modifications
These were Redwing London exclusive pairs. I ordered through their online website. It was deployed quickly and delivered quickly, there weren't any problems and it was easy.
I work in an office, so these were mainly worn as my business casual boots. However, the reason I say these are versatile is that it can be worn outdoors for medium range hikes / walks. Therefore also very comfortable for traveling where long walks are required. I have been to Korea, and Italy with these and didnt disappoint me
At first it was very sturdy and tough. A bit of a break-in was required. Also as the leather is tough the patin didnt want to develop. But as it was worn it became more matt from being shiny. The scratch on the toe is from walking around rocky terrains in south coast of England.
There was a bit of heel slippage when I first got them, meaning I got blisters on my heels. But it went away once they were broken in. Eventually and as expected, the flat toebox eventually collapsed to become more comfortable for my feet. The last used for these are semi munson inspired giving me room for my toes. But I wish they were a hair wider than it is currently
I love the design of the boots, and it's very well made like other classic redwing boots. Triple stitches where it needs to be. I personally didn't have any quality control issues which was good.
Gro-cord outsoles are hard rubber outsoles, and it can feel too hard from time to time. But it gave great traction in any condition and felt very durable
