Viberg
Service Boot BCT
Lost and Found
Since I’ve been into the boot game, I always eyed the natural cxl Viberg with a brogue cap toe. They were my grail pair. I know, not a special limited shell pair, just plain and simple cxl. Cxl isn’t boring, isn’t simple. It’s so damn versatile and good. One day I got a mail from lost&found that they opened a pre order for this exact make-up. Within 10 minutes I had my order in. Chose a size i wasn’t sure of. I struggled for years to find a boot that really fit. Finally I gave in to the call of size up. (Im a brannock 10,5B/C btw) 10E was a guess, definitely for a dome pair. They don’t fit and I have to find a back-up plan. But they felt great from the first minute. Never once did I feel like I missized. Never once did they feel ‘too big’ they’re perfect.
Kinda answered in the last mini essay 😅
When I saw the mail for the pre order I ordered within the first 10 minutes. Had to wait a few months, but lost and found were so helpful and nice in handling the pre order until the delivery. Really nice guys over there!
Wore them for my office job. Wore them on dog walks. Wore them on trips. I wore them literally every time I needed shoes on my feet.
The cxl started a light golden brown hue. But the patina started quickly. Break in was easy! No sweat, no blood no tears. They were a joy to wear. Few scratches along the way, few bumps. No major signs of heavy wear. Wouldn’t fit my lifestyle. The end patina is a nice shiny dark brown. Really love the end result. I didnt try to over brush, over condition. First condition happened at the 3 month mark. Second condition few days before the end. I really love how they ended up.
I wasn’t sure about the size. I normally size down a lot for my low volume feet. But the half down from brannock was spot on. Never for a second thought I missized.
Vibergs are pricey. Therefor I expect something great. Quality is really nice. I thought the clicking of the cxl could be better. I would’ve love a tighter grain break on the inside panels. But I’m more than happy with what I got.
Dainite has a reputation of being slippery. But I didn’t experience this. Yeah on slippery roads you have to adjust your footing. But no major problems.
