Service Boot
Viberg
These have been worn to work, used for yard work and hiking in the mountains, and soaked in 3” of standing freezing rain at the Ravens vs Steelers game. They’ve seen snow and salt and held up well.
These took a bit to mold to my foot, but have become comfortable with use. I haven’t conditioned or polished them, other than a bit of VSC after using vinegar once to remove salt stains. I let them sit to dry completely when they’ve been soaked through. They’ve darkened a bit with use, and have some scarring from my office chair, rocks, and dog claws.
The 2030 last doesn’t naturally fit my foot. The heel is a bit large and the toe box is tight. Arch support is good, length is good, but volume is a bit low for my foot. After a few months of wear they fit better then when new.
Design, finish, and construction are all excellent.
The sole has worn well and offers decent fraction in most cases.
Overall these are amazing boots. I just wish there was a place where I could try on different lasts and sizes to get a better initial fit.
