Brooklyn Clothing gave me some guidance that turned out to be pretty spot on. I'm very new to Viberg sizing, but thankfully they were super helpful.
I ordered these online from Brooklyn Clothing and they were super helpful when helping me decide between two pairs.
I've worn these boots for roughly 10-1/2 to 12 hours a day for 5-7 days per week since the Dome started. I work in retail in the southeast U.S. so their life has been inside, but working in the lumber business has had them experience a few days out on the yard as well. They even saw one yard mowing this spring toward the end of the Dome.
I was a little unsure what to expect with this leather after reading some mixed feelings on the TPR finish, but I've been pretty happy with it. The leather has molded to my ankles and feet and they have grown more and more comfortable as I've gone along. The leather has darkened into an orangey-brown color that I've really enjoyed. It wasn't quite the dramatic shift I've seen in some of the other postings from others in the completion, but I've lovingly cared for them over the months, brushing and applying Bicks when needed, and they've treated me well.
The fit has been pretty great. I was very unsure of my sizing, and still feel like I have extra room in the toe area of the boot, but I've never had an E width boot before either! It has allowed for plenty of room for thicker socks when I've had cause to wear them. As far as comfort goes, I work on my feet all day on concrete floors and they've been far more comfortable than I was expecting. I've had no complaints at all and never had to add an insole, which I feel like speaks to their support.
The sole has held up very well. I've not had any experience with this sole before, but I was expecting it to be a lot more worn over the course of being worn as much as this pair has been and they are still in great shape. You can see a bit of wear on the very back edge, but beyond that they're great.
This is my first experience with the Dome and by far the most expensive pair of boots I've ever taken the plunge into buying. I've enjoyed the ritual of the Dome from the care regiment for these boots to trying to get good photos of my pair at the beginning of every month. These have seen countless hours of wear, but I've tried to wear them honestly and lovingly. I didn't want to try and beat them up just for the sake of trying to age them. I feel like they've returned the favor and treated me well in return.
