I love the round toe shape and of course the black prairie leather. The fit is pretty much applicable for almost every foot and the style is really timeless and fits most outfits
Went down 1 full size from Brannock. I wear a lot of RW boots and this approach works best for me.
I own my own store in which I offer Red Wing boots so I was able to order directly from RW
Wearing daily in my shop, going on a walk with the dog and doing small chores
Leather broke in quite quick and is very soft. Slowly some brown is popping from the black. Conditioned once with Bick4 and daily brush twice
Fits like the Iron Ranger boots but the toe box of course is lessen sturdy without the cap toe. Insole feels quite flat in the beginning but it molds pretty quick to your feet. Outsoles quite hard but it's the same with my Iron Rangers. Always wearing thick wool socks
I like the sleek silhouette and the contrasting welt. The contrast will be lessen when the leather has the more brown tone of course. The stitching is done nicely and I like the vintage touch of the brass hardware. The flat waxed laces tend to twist but I doesn't bother anymore. Relaced them in the front with "under" instead of "over" which makes it easier to tighten.
So far so good. Good traction, quite hard but durable soles. No problems so far. Heel is hard as well
Durable but quite hard
Until now, I like these boots. Comfortable and sturdy and I am looking forward to the patina. Good value for such quality boot and definitely would recommend
