Arno Shoes
This is a custom pair I made as a proof of concept for a future ready to wear boot. The embroidery inlay is hand made based on traditional Ukrainian designs, usually used on shirts called Вишиванка (Vishivanka). I ran across this leather while I was visiting Maryam Tannery. I am unsure if this is a production leather or not but they had several pieces and I wanted to see what it would look like on a pair of boots. It has a sort of glaze applied to the finish, and once the leather flexes it shows off a much lighter undertone. The heel counter is hippo leather, mostly because I'm a little extra and had to jazz up an already wild boot. There is a bellows tongue made from C.F. Stead Goucho Kudu, mostly because it's super soft and comfortable. These are fully lined.
This last runs a little narrow, I am a true 11 D on a Brannock, and a 11.5 fits me perfectly.
