A Truly Perfect Match

I’ve gushed a lot about these boots already, they have been an incredible pair to go through this competition with, and will continue to likely be my most reach for pair for the foreseeable future. They have been a perfect match for my lifestyle, easy to put on in a hurry, can handle everything I throw at it from a 16 mile day walking across Tokyo, a 12 hour shift being on concrete, or a night spent dancing until the wee hours morning. I loved my engineer boots from Fortis that I wore last year for the dome, and those will forever be so special to me as I won the entire competition with them, but these sidezips they made for me this year? I love them even more. I’ve made so many incredible memories in them, and I’m going to keep on living my life and creating more stories to tell with these on my feet to carry me there.

I wanted a boot that was very versatile and easy to put on and take off. I find leather soles to be the perfect sole my lifestyle as they are comfortable to walk and stand in for a long time, and are easy to dance in, which I do often. The zipper makes it easy to take on and off, maybe 5 seconds a boot. I also really loved the aesthetics of them, with how sleek they are. As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to own a pair.

I DM’d Fortis Instagram page, and I just told them what I was wanting, their sidezip in a black leather. I asked if it could be modified to have no pull tab and a Cuban heel, which they agreed to. I was recommended the leather we ended up going with by Sany, the owner of Fortis. It was a very easy experience ordering with Fortis. Paid half once the details were ironed out, then paid half upon completion.
